
Our reading garden was created to give our 50 children a safe, inspiring space to learn. With books across many genres, interests, and reading levels, children can build their reading skills, improve comprehension, and develop a genuine love for books—another powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty and violence.
Thanks to the generosity of a special donor, Holli from Hicksville, New York, children who complete ten books earn a “reading buddy”—a stuffed animal that keeps them company while they read and complete their activities.
